Demonstrate the detailed process of setting the running schedule of a scenario in Make.com.
Dealing with Job Routines
Let’s be honest with ouselves. How many of our daily tasks are in face routines?
I guess a fair amount of our work are simply routines. In particular, many data-related jobs have to be performed periodically such as once per week or once per month.
Being aware of the periodic nature of so many routines, we really should leverage the power of scheduling a scenario in Make.com.
This post will illustrate the detailed process of setting the running schedule for a scenario in Make.com so that our designed automation can periodically perform the jobs we desire WITHOUT us kicking it off.
Overview of All Scenarios
After a user logs into Make.com and clicks the “Scenarios” section in the left panel, a list overview of all scenarios will appear on the right hand side as below.
On the screenshot above, there is only one scenario which is not yet activated.
Analytical View of a Scenario
Let’s click on it and enter the initial analytical view of this scenario as follows.
This analytical view will show the running history and usage of the scenario.
Edit Mode of a Scenario
By clicking any space area near the diagram, we can enter into the ‘Edit mode” of this scenario as the image below.
Now, pay attention to the button “Every 15 minutes.” near the bottom right corner, which is highlighted by the red rectangle in the preceding screenshot.
By clicking on this button “Every 15 minutes”, the full settings of the running schedule can be configured in the pop-up window.
Suppose we want this scenario to run at 07:30 on the 5th day in each month, then we can simply click the drop down menu of “At regular intervals” and select “Days of the month”. Moreover, we will check the box of number 5 in Days section and select time at 07:30 as shown in the following screenshot.
Remember to click OK button after these settings.
Activate the Scenario
The final step is easy peasy. Just activate the scenario by flipping the switch near bottom right corner as shown in the image below.
We can also observe that the scheduling label is also changed to “EAch 5. of month at 07:30”. This is truly a handy feature of Make.com for users to know the exact running schedule.
After configuring the running schedule, we can finally say goodbye to this job routine as it will be handled automatically and periodically by Make.com.
This is a fabulous tool to have in our daily job.
